mr owen was born a little over a month ago! we are loving this sweet boy. he was born april 17 at 12:26 am. ---Owen John Bruyninckx--- Most of you know we hadn't decided on a name until about a week before we met Owen. We originally loved the name but it wasn't really on the short list until the last few weeks of my pregnancy (this had always been my fave boy name so I am thrilled we were able to use it!) John doesn't come from one person in particular--but a name from both sides of our family, my maiden name being Johnson, and Mike comes from a long line of "John"s in his fam-including his grandfather, father, and brother Keith.
Although we had scheduled a csection for April 19th, this little guy wanted to come on his own april 16-started labor in the evening-around 6--and b/c he was breech-our doc decided to go ahead with the csection late on the 16th. this sweet little guy came into the world at 12:26 april 17th and we couldn't be more in love with him! we are so grateful for such a blessing and are overwhelmed and just so thankful we get to be his parents. He is seriously so sweet. And his big sis is seriously in love and soooo proud. Anyone who comes into our house for a visit usually walks them over to meet little O and then straight to her room for a tea party. Our fave Meryl quote-talking to her Unc "This is my little brother Owen! He has no teeth." She is pretty fascinated with this :) Meryl has adapted so well to life as a big sis. She continues to be so happy and such a flex little kiddo which we are soooo thankful for now, more than ever :) a few pics of our fam of FOUR over the past month...
